Going to a Serie A game
|
Looking at going to the Milan derby in Jan.
Tickets on Viagogo say you need a Tessera del Tifoso card which are only issued by local police to stop the ultras getting tickets to try and curb football violence there.
Anyone got tickets to a match in Serie A without the need for this card ? Is there a way round it ?
Google is not offering much help.
Ta in advance

Thanks all, so might try and get lucky on official site rather then using viagogo

Get there early and be prepared to oust people from your ticketed seats and to defend them once you are in. Enjoy!

I had to show my passport when I went to see AC Milan v Roma a few years back. Apparently that's normal practise. Also remember that there were only a few away fans there.

Fan sites, not official club websites, I mean.

I've been to Milan/Lazio at the San Siro and Lazio/Roma in recent years just using tickets through viagogo. No Tessara del Tifoso at either match, but at the Rome derby, the policing was intensive, various checkpoints, and I got hauled in front of a senior cop and had to show passport and explain where I got the ticket before they gave the nod. Plenty of international fans get to the Rome derby without the Tessara, and there's lots of info given in English on the Lazio websites about how to organise trips. Would think that both Milan and Inter have English language sites and would be happy to answer any questions.

Been to quite a few Milan games with my mate who has a season ticket and never had a problem.
Security is so shit he usually just goes in, goes up 2 flights of stairs and lobs me out his card and I use it to go in. Admittedly last game was 4 years ago, not sure if this is something new
